Doug Wehrman mentioned, for the record, thai the <br />County was invited to attend any and all PEDC Board meetings for their input on any subject that is being <br />discussed. Gene Anderson stated that his reference in the April 14, 2011 minutes to whether the County <br />had been "invited" was meaning had they been approached about monetarily supporting the Diversity <br />effort as the City has been of late. The Minutes were approved, as submitted, by a motion from Doug <br />Wehrman; seconded by Rick Poston. Motion Carried 4-1, with Chad Brown abstaining due to his not <br />being present at the Apri] 14, 2011 PEDC Board meeting. <br />Financial reports for April; 2011 were approved, as submitted, by a motion from Chad Brown; <br />seconded by Rick Poston. Motion Carried 5-0. <br />Steve Gilbert stated that the majority of his Director's Report involved discussion in Executive <br />Session. He also stated that a site visit was scheduled for Wednesday, May 11`h. <br />Discussion and possible action regarding Diversity Training RFP recommendations. Steve again <br />outlined the cost of services from Executive Diversity Services for $59,000 and The Right Talent for <br />$89,000. He then provided an overview of the proposed project broken down in Tasks l through S <br />(attached). Workforce Solutions has negotiated servic,es for Task 5: "Develop a diversity training program <br />including a how-to toolkit for small business owmers" with Executive Diversity Services for a cost of <br />5;000. Steve recommended that the PEDC Board not seek additional funding to avoid delays and <br />controversy and approve to pay the balance of $44;900 for Tasks ] through 4 with Executive Diversity <br />~ 52 <br />
