Cost Comparison (Best Value) <br />Issue: We should spend mone with local companies, <br />l. Generally we contract with and purchase from local companies for goods and services. <br />2. Sometitnes we must hire outside companies who have unique knowledge, experience and expertise. <br />3. It is healthy to seek apinions and perspectives from knowledgeable experts from outside of Paris. <br />4. A cast difference of $30,000 is significant. <br />5. Te RFY says price is a key component of the evaluation criteria, and addresses best value. <br />6. We cannot justify the cost difference to cantract witb the local company. <br />7. A9l three bidders are experienced and qualified to deliver requested services. <br />2. All three are minority owned businesses. <br />3. With City Council's support, PEDC will seek support of Judge Superville and the CounTy Board of <br />Cornmissioners. <br />4. Negotiate and execute the final eantract with Executive Diversity Services. <br />5. Form a project leadership/advisory team including key stakeholders, groups and individuals who are <br />interested and willing to volunteer their time, talent and resources. <br />b.
