the US that can bring additianaJ insights to your questions and explorations far the final
design of the plan and execution of tactics. Therefare, in less than 120 days, we will go
from exploration to execution. ..of not another repori but of a specific detailed initiative.
Final Observation of the Advisorv Comxnittee
A food and consumer goods manufacturing initiative has been adopted in cancept
because it offers a response to our competitive advantage in the Paris Region. It cannot
resolve every challenge nor problem fac:ing the region, but we will loak to apply the
elements of previous wozk by PEDC and the community to ensure that we are linking and
leveraging concerns and harriers. "
The Project Advisory Committee - and the IargQr community that will eventually became
part of the strategic im.plennentation - must look to themselves as both champians and
leaders to ensure that the initiative and results are the best selected for vur region and our
long-term agenda. The consultant, the PEAC staff, and even elected officials are not the
sole source of ehampions and leaders - this must be a civic-driven, private sectar focused
plan and implementa,`tion.
14
c w
