I certaiiily share your cancerns <br />As a member of the Senate Select Committee on Redistricting, 1 have publicly stated that <br />we need ta pxotect rural interests as much as possible. During the recent Legislative <br />Sessian new nnaps for the state Senate and House were passed. While I supported the <br />Senate plan, I voted against the House map due to my belief that there were unnecessary <br />shifts in the boundaries of some districts in East Texas. <br />A proposed congressional map has been introduced far consideration during the Special <br />Legislative Session. I will keep these concerns in mind as this map is discussed. <br />Thank you again for taking the time to write.
