Steve told how he and Annie had met and
exchanged business cards at the recent IAMC Conference that was held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at
which time Ms. McIntyre made a pzesentation on sustainability in real estate development. Ms. Mclntyre
had contacted Steve a few weeks ago regarding assistance in locating a Texas attorney to fiie her
Corporation with the State of Texas. Steve then asked Ms. McIntyre to give those present a quick over
view of her work history, future plans and relocating to the Paris, Texas area. Ms. Mclntyre stated she has
been employed by Sandia National Labs in Albuquerque, New Mexico for the past six years. She had been
closely involved with the Mesa de] SoI project, of which, four city enterprises cflnsisting of commercial,
industrial, data centers, solar and wind energy came together to establish a sustainable cammunity. She
was impressed with the diversity of business that Paris, Texas has to offer. He understood that the money stakes were high ($75,000.00). He did point out that this
initiative would assist in addressing the 7 Critical Priorities from the various Sta'ategic Planning meetings
that had been held in the past seven rnanths. He recommended that the Board agree ta funding Phase I
only. Phase II would be performed by TIP Strategies, with Tom Stiilman and Northeast Texas Workforce
Solutions' grant. Richard Seline knaws Mr. Stillnnan and they would work well together to insure the
wark being performed is not duplicated. Steve felt that Phase I of the initiative would be the most
productive in getting doors open to have "face to face' visifs (trade missions) with industrial based
campanzes that wauld consider retocating to Faz-is, Texas. The potential market proximity in the four states
area is critieal along with the assets of: the Paris aizport, northwest industrial park, availability of water,
19
