WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the current city limits of the city of Paris, Texas, and is not more than one-half (1/2) mile in width; and, WHEREAS, said petition fully conformed with the requirements of Section 6 of the Charter of the City of Paris and Section 43.028 of the Local Government Code; and, WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council on the 11 th day of October, 2004; and, WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments for and against the same, the City Council adopted ResolutionNo. 2004-191 granting such petition to annex said territory into the city of Paris, Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the following described property, to-wit: Being all that certain tract of land situated in Lamar County, Texas, a part of the Wesley Askins Survey, Abstract No. 7, a part of the 100.00 acre tract of land conveyed to D. Wayne Brown, et al., by deed recorded in Volume 939, Page 31 of the Lamar County Real Property Records, and a part of the 121.76 acre tract of land conveyed to D. Wayne Brown, et al., by deed recorded in Volume 949, Page 296 of the Lamar County Real Property Records, and being further described as follows: Beginning at a point, said point being North 64°08'23" West a distance of 298.63 feet from an iron pin found for corner at the most Northeasterly corner of Lot 17, Block B, of The Hills Phase III as recorded in Envelope No. 371-C of the Lamar County Plat Records; Thence around a curve to the right having a radius of 452.47 feet, long chord bears South 44°00' 10" West a distance of 111.70 feet, an azc distance of 111.99 feet to a point for corner; Thence South 51°OS'37" West a distance of 1267.07 feet to a point for corner; Thence North 44°12'46" West a distance of 134.46 feet to a point for corner; ~ Thence around a curve to the right having a radius of 691.20 feet, long chord bears North 43° 18' 13" West a distance of 36.22 feet, an arc distance of 36.22 feet to a point for corner; Thence North 51 °05'37" East a distance of 1249.30 feet to a point for corner; Thence South 89°02'43" East a distance of 150.82 feet to a point for corner; Thence South 64°O8'23" East a distance of 65.83 feet to the point of
