R I ORDINANCE NO. 9 9-D 19 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT ORDINANCE NO. 97-059 PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE 15TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1997, BE AMENDED BY CORRECTING A TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR CONTAINED IN THE DESCRIPTION OF TRACT 3; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 1, 1999. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the first "Whereas" and Section 1 of Ordinance No. 97-059 of the City of ~ Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, amended so that such shall read as follows: "WHEREAS, public hearings before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, where all interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the following described property: 1' "Tract 3 "BEGINNING at a point in the south right-of-way line of FM 1499 and the east right-of-way line of the Burlington Northern Railroad; "THENCE easterly along the south right-of-way line of FM 1499 a distance of 1,364 feet to a point; "THENCE southerly, parallel to and 500 feet east of the centerline of the right-of-way of US Hwy 271 North, a distance of 13,799 feet to a point; `THENCE westerly to the existing Paris city limits line a distance of 500 feet to a point; "THENCE westerly along the existing Paris city limits line and the north right-of-way line of County Road 31700 a distance of 608 feet to a point; "THENCE northerly, parallel to and 500 feet west of the centerline of the right-of-way of US Hwy 271 North, a distance of 10,125 feet to a point; "THENCE westerly along the centerline of the existing Pine Creek a distance of 924 feet to the east right-of-way line of the Burlington Northern Railroad; "THENCE northerly along the east right-of-way line of the Burlington Northern Railroad a distance of 3,667 feet to the place of beginning, containing 359.67 acres.
