<br />~ <br />ORDINANCE NO. 23 23 <br />. <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN <br />BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE <br />ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 89.61 ACRES, <br />MORE OR LESS, WHICH IS LESS THAN TEN PER CENT (10%) Or THE <br />TERRITORY INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRESENT CITY LIMITS, WHICH <br />SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT "I'O AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT <br />BOUNDA RY LIM ITS OF THE CITY OF PA R IS, PA R IS, TEXA S, A ND <br />PROVIDING ZONING FOR SAID TERRITORY. <br />Whereas, a public hearing before the City Council of the City of <br />Paris, Paris, Texas, where all interested persons were provided with an <br />opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the following de - <br />scribed territory, to-wit: <br />TRACT 1: IiEGINNING at the Northeast corner of <br />a 4. 72 acre tract of land out of the Isaac Cruse Survey, <br />conveyed John R. Webster, Jr. , by deed dated January 10, <br />1976, recorded in Volume 575, Page 433, Deed Records, <br />Lamar County, Texas, said corner being in the South <br />Right of Way Line of U. S. Highway No. 82 and in the <br />present City Limit Line of the City of Paris; <br />THENCE S 1 degree 00 minutes W with the present <br />City Limit Line and the East Boundary Line of said <br />Webster tract, a distance of 504. 0 feet to a point; <br />~ THENCE N 88 degrees 55 minutes W, parallel with <br />' and 504 feet South of the South Right of Way Line of <br />U. S. Highway No. 82, a distance of 632. 0 feet to a point, <br />at 540 feet crossing the most Easterly West Boundary Line <br />of a 54.80 acre tract of land conveyed Lisle Mullins and <br />wife, Helen Mullins, by deed dated January 11, 1966, re- <br />corded in Volume 438, Page 292, Deed Records, Lamar <br />County, Texas; <br />THENCE N 1 degree 00 minutes E, 92 feet West <br />of and parallel with said West Boundary Line of the <br />Mullins tract, a distance of 504. 0 feet to a point in the <br />South Right of Way Line of U. S. Highway No. 82; <br />THENCE S 88 degrees 55 minutes E, along said <br />South Right of Way Line of U. S. flighway No. 82, a <br />distance o f 632. 0 feet to the place of beginning and con- <br />taining 7.31 acres of land, more or less. <br />, TRACT 2: BEGINNING at a point in the East <br />Boundary Line of I<aywood Addition, said point being <br />300 feet South of the South Right of Way Line of <br />U. S. Highway 82 and in the present City Limit Line; <br />TF-IENCE S 0° 45' W with said East Boundary Line <br />of Kaywood Addition and its Southerly projection, a <br />d.istance of 2, 813 feet to a point in the North Right of <br />Way Line of Old Bonham Road; <br />THENCE S 89 ° 30' E with the North Right of Way <br />Line of 01d Bonham Road 1277. U feet to a point in the <br />East Right of Way Line of 41st S. W. , said point being <br />in the present City Limit L.ine; <br />
