~ I . 2~ . 1,J~ ORDINANCE NO. 2208 ~ AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF TIIE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 219.733 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, WHICH IS LESS THAN TEN PER CENT (lOJ) OF THE TERRITORY INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRESENT CITY LIMITS, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRE- SENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS. WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, 'where all interested pei sons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the following de- scribed territory: Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, and con- tiguous to the City Limit Line of the City of Paris as heretofore established by Ordinance Nos. 1569 and 1617; BEGINNING at a point in the North Right of Way Line of Loop Highway 286 N. W. , said point being in the East Boundary Line of the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway Company Right of Way, said point being the South West Corner of a 4. 89 acre tract of land conveyed Reuben M. Ginsberg by deed dated August 10, 1971, recorded Vol. 528, Page 826, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas; THENCE in a Westerly direction with said North Right of Way Line of Loop Highway 286 N. W. , 110 feet, more or less, to a point, being the South East Corner of the Campbell Soup Company ~ property, said point Ueing the South East Corner of a 20. 987 acre tract of land purchased by Campbell Soup Company from Paris, Texas Industrial Foundation, Inc. ; THENCE in a Westerly direction with the North Right of Way ~ Line of Loop Highway 286 to the South West Corner of the , Campbell Soup Company property, also being the South West Corner of a 26.326 acre tract purchased by Campbell Soup Company from Smith; THENCE North 0 Degrees 24 Minutes East with the West Boundary Line of said Smith tract 1042 feet to a point, said point being in the South Boundary Line of a 6 acre tract purchased by Campbell Soup Company from Holley; THENCE South 89 Degrees 30 Minutes East, a distance of 389 feet with said Holley South Boundary Line to the South East Corner of said Holley tract; THENCE North 1 Degree East a distance of 1229. 6 feet to the most Westerly North West Corner of a 35. 532 acre tract purchased by Campbell Soup Company from Council; , THENCE North 89 Degrees 30 Minutes East, 577 feet to an ell corner in said 35. 532 acre tract; THENCE North 0 Degrees 15 Minutes East, 1014. 2 feet to the most Northerly North West Corner of said 35. 532 acre Coitncil tract; THENCE Easr 2993 feet, more or less, to a point in the • West Boundary Line of the St. Louis -San Francisco Kailway Company Right of Way, said point also being the North East Corner of a 1. 243 acre tract purchased by Campbell Soup Company from Council; THENCE East 100 feet, more or less, to the East Right of Way Line of the St. Louis-San rrancisco Railway Company; THENCE in a Southerly and South Westerly direction with said East Right of Way Line of the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway Company 2950 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning, containing 219.733 acres, more or less.
