ORDINANCE NO. 1666 . AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING,, ADMITTING, AND INGORPORATING ADDI- TIONAL TERRITORY IN LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF PARIS; TEXAS, INTO AND A5 A PART OF SAID CITY OF PART,S, EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, SO AS TO INCLUDE .4ND EMSRACE SAID ADJACENT TERRITORY, CONFERRING ALL RIGHTS; PRIVILEGES, AND IMMUNITIES OF CITIZENSHIP UPON THE IN- HABITANT5 OF 5AID TERRITORY AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARIES OF WARD FOUR SO AS TO EMBRACE AND INCLUDE ALL OF SAID TERRITORY AND INCORPORATING THE SAME IN 5AID WARD FOUR aF 5AiD CITY, PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDINANCES, RULE5, REGULATI(3NS, AND LAWS IN EFFECT IN THE CITY OF PARI5 AND THAT MAY HEREAFTER BE PA5SED IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT IN SAID TERRITORY AFTER PASSAGE OF THI5 ORDINANCE; INSTRUCTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE A SURVEY FIXING AND ESTABLI5HING THE BOUNDARY LIMIT5 OF SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE HEREWITH AND TO CONSTRUCT A COMPLETE MAP OF SAID TERRITORY 5HOWING STREET5, ALLEYS, LOTS, TRAC'i§ AND PROPERTY OWNER5 AND D FILE 5AME WITH THE CITY CLERK AND TO CORREGT THE MAP OF THE CYTY OF PARIS SO AS TO ADD 5UCH TERRITORY THERETO; AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOR OF TAXE5 TO LZST ALL PROPERTY THEREIN AND TO PLACE SAME ON THE TAX ROLL5 OF THE CITY OF PARIS AND HEREAFTER ASSESS SAME FOR TAXES IN ACCORDANCE WITH LAW'.' BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the following descri.bed territory in Lamar County, TexAs, lying adjacent to the present boundary limits of the City of Pari.s, be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Paris and admitted into the corporation of such Ci.ty, and is hereby made and constituted a part and por- tion of the City of Paris, and the Boundary Limits of the City of Paris are hereby extended so as to include and embrace said terxitory and to conform to same as herein set out, to-witt Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, and bei.ng described as follows: Begi.nning at,a point 500 feet East of the East Boundary Line of Highway 271 and on the North Boundary Line of a tract of land belonging to the K. R. S, S. Corporation, in the most Northern North East Corner of the present City Limits of the City of Paris; ^ Thence East with the North Boundary Line of said tract belonging to the K. R. S. S. Corporati.on to the North East Corner of said K. R. S. S. Corporation tract, at a point in the West Boundary Line of Farm to Market Road, known as the 5tillhouse Road; Thence East to the E. B. Line of said Stillhouse Road; Thence East across a porti.on of a tract bebnging to the Harlan Dairy, 300 feet a stake; Thence South West and parallel to the E. B. Line of the St3.11house Road to the present City Lirnit Line, 600 feet North of the centerline of the North porti.on of Loop Highway No. 286, The xnhabi,tants within sai.ct annexed territory are and shall hereafter be entitled to enjoy all the rights, privileges and immunities of citizens of the City of Paris, and all laws, ordinances, rules, resolutions, acts, and regula- tions of said Ca.ty now in force in said City of Pari.s, and that may be here- after passed, shall be and are i.n full force and effect in said territory hereby annexed and admitted. i`
