19K C~Vfw CHARTER ~ Of the City of Paris, Texas Acts Twenty-Ninth Legislature An Act to incorporate the City of Paris and to grant it a new charter; to define its powers and to prescribe its duties and liabilities; and to de- clare an emergency. Be it enacted bN- the Legislature of the State of Texas: Corporate Name. Section 1. Tl~at all the inhabitants of that part of Lamar CountI~, as hereinafter desiynated by metes and bounds and their successors, shall be and are hereby created and coiistituted a bociy politic and corporate under and to be known hY the name and designation of "The City of Paris," with all tlie rights, powers, privileges, immunities and du- ties lierein yranted and ciefined. Boundaries. Sec. 2. That said "Citv of Paris" shall comprise, include and embrace all tliat part of the CountY of I.amar, Texas, boiindecl aud described as follows: Iii Laiuar County, Texas, beginning 240 rods NN-est of a poiirt 400 rocls south of the center of the public square, as no«• kno-,vn and clesignated in the "City of Paris", ttie same being the southwest corner of the corporate liuiits hereto- fore esisiing; tlience east 570 rods to a post; thence north 640 rods to a post; ttience west 570 rods to a post; tlience soutli 640 rods to the place of beginning.
