July 12, 2004 <br />Page 2 <br />which granted a franchise for electric service to Texas Utilities Electric <br />Company, now known as Oncor Electric Delivery Company, be extended for <br />a period of twelve (12) months. <br />B. Second reading of an ordinance granting to David Thompson, dba Lone Star <br />Cab Company, a franchise to use the public streets, alleys, and highways of <br />the City of Paris forthe purpose of transporting passengers for hire in motor <br />vehicles for a period of three (3) years. <br />C. Second reading of an ordinance granting to Dennis Nelms, dba City Cab <br />Company, a franchise to use the public streets, alleys, and highways of the <br />City of Paris for the purpose of transporting passengers for hire in motor <br />vehicles for a period of three (3) years. <br />D. Second reading of an ordinance granting to Steve Rainey, dba Yellow Cab <br />Company, a franchise to use the public streets, alleys, and highways of the <br />City of Paris for the purpose of transporting passengers for hire in motor <br />vehicles for a period of three (3) years. <br />E. Providing that the Code of Ordinances, City of Paris, be amended by <br />revising subsections (b) and (c) of Section 34-22 of said Code to establish <br />water rates for residential, commercial, and industrial customers that are <br />based upon the cost to serve each class; revising subsection (a) of Section <br />34-23 of said Code to establish a sewer service rate for city water <br />customers; revising subsection (a) of Section 34-29 of said Code to <br />establish a delinquency fee; revising subsection (a) of Section 34-30 of said <br />Code to reference a service fee; adopting a new Section 34-33 to said Code, <br />entitled Special Service Arrangements, to authorize the Water Billing Office <br />Manager or the Director of Finance, at their discretion, and under certain <br />circumstances, to authorize certain special service arrangements. <br />6. Public hearing to receive input from the citizens of Paris regarding local <br />participation in the expenditure of funds under the Local Law Enforcement Block <br />Grant application by the City of Paris. <br />7. Consideration of and action on the following resolutions: <br />A. Approving and authorizing an application to the United States Department <br />of Justice for a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant in the amount of <br />$16,107.00 requiring a matching cash contribution of $1,790.00. <br />B. Awarding bid and authorizing the execution of a construction contract for <br />the construction of the Lamar Avenue Utility Replacement Project from 2pt" <br />
