3. Appi•oval of minutes f-om previous meeting. (May 19, 2011)
Motion was made by Steve Gilbert, seconded by Phillip Payne to approve the minutes for
the May 19, 2011 meeting. Motion carried 7-0.
4. Report_ fi-om PEDC.•
A. Review Recent Marketing for Aiiport/Industr-ial Park.
Steve Gilbert presented a copy of a two page spread in Expansion Solutions
Magazine's aviation section. Mr. Gilbert further stated they took content from the
master plan and worked with the magazine putting together the advertisement.
Additionally, as a part of this deal they received reprints of the ad and the
company will take the ads and develop a brochure and present it at trade shows.
PEDC has also arranged for two photographers to fly over Paris and take aerial
pictures of different locations as a marketing tool. Anyone who may be interested
in doing the fly over please contact Steve, or Shawn and let them know.
5. Report frorre Shawn Napief-, Airport Director:
A. Update on Master• Plan status.
The only thing not approved, is the airport lay out plan. Currently it has been
submitted to TXDOT, and we look to hear from them possibly in December to two
or three months after that. Looking at the Capital Improvement plan we received
some good news at the pre pavement meeting for the main runway that was held at
the Airport. One of the TXDOT aviation officials Stacie Clyber stated that they
had a lot of major projects cancel on them and they are looking to bump some
people up. So we are looking at sending our first payment by October 1 to TXDOT
to start the Phase 11 portion of the airport project.
B. Status ofAirport Improvements.
They have finished the overlay of the main runway and are currently working on
the lighting which will take another two to three weeks. The striping crew will be
in on Monday to do the striping for the runway. They will also be coming back to
repair the concrete that was damaged in front of Bill Booth's hangar and the other
areas as well. Any issues you see we will try to address in the Phase II part of the
project.
6. Report from Jef•fy Richey, Airport Manager:
A. Status of Terminal/Hangai• Improvements.
Jerry Richey stated they have installed new carpet, purchased new chairs for the
terminal building.
- 1• 21
