Motion carried 5-0, <br />with Claudia Hunt abstaining. Barbara Wilson recommended to Mrs. <br />Harper that she get in touch with Steve Methven about the fence. <br />4. Discussion of and possib/e action on declaring the followving properties as <br />historic landmarks and setting a public hearing on same: <br />A. 623 6th Street S. E. (Gibbons House). Paul Denney stated that this was <br />the only second empire Victorian house that we've' had in Paris, or at <br />least the only one left. Ann Lancaster stated that the owner, Roddy <br />Dudley, was in favor of this designation. Barbara IRVilson advised the <br />Commission that the property could be eligible for Preservation Trust <br />Fund grants because they target endangered historic structures. <br />Motion to declare the property as a historic landmark was made by Ann <br />Lancaster, seconded by Claudia Hunt. Motion carried 6-0. <br />B. 1970 Clarksville Street (Early House). Motion to declare the property as <br />a historic landmark was made by Ann Lancaster, seconded by Claudia <br />Hunt. Motion carried 6-0. <br />C. 410 W. Kaufman Street (First Presbyterian ChurGh). The Historic <br />Preservation Officer asked the Commission if theywanted to designate <br />only the lot with the structure or all lots in the a~rea owned by the <br />church, and the Commission stated that they wanted to designate all <br />lots. Motion to declare the property as a historic landmark was made <br />by Brian Wear, seconded by Becki Norment. Motioln carried 6-0. <br />D. 357 W. Kaufman Street (Church of Christ Science). Motion to declare <br />the property as a historic landmark was made ' by Claudia Hunt, <br />seconded by Ann Lancaster. Motion carried 6-0. <br />The Commission advised the HPO that they wouild like to add the <br />following structures to the next agenda for designation: (1) Old County <br />Hospital, (2) Old Black Hospital, (3) Old Sanitarium Children's Wing <br />located on the Coca Cola property, (4) the YV11CA building, and (5) <br />Congregational Church. <br />
