RESOLUTION N0. 2011-079 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />COMMISSION, CITY OF PARIS BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS, TO FILL TNE <br />UNEXPIRED TERM OF MATTHEW COYLE THE CURRENT LIAISON FOR <br />THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD, I1V ACCORDAIVCE WITH POLICIES <br />AND PROCEDURES FOR STANDING BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND <br />COMMITTEES; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED <br />TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on February 11, 2008 the City Council approved new Policies and <br />Procedures for Standing Boards, Commissions and Committees for the City of Paris; and, <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the policies and procedures these standing boards <br />and commissions will be composed of seven members and will serve three year terms; and, <br />WHEREAS, The Historic Preservation Commission has one vacancy due to the <br />resignation of Matthew Coyle, the current liaison for Main Street Advisory Board. The <br />Historic Preservation Commission is required to have one member who is currently <br />serving on the Main Street Advisory Board to act as liaison; and, <br />WHEREAS, The City has received one application from Ms. Britin Bostick who <br />currently serves on the Main Street Advisory Board; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that a new appointment <br />should be made to the Historic Preservation Commission to fill the vacancy of Matthew <br />Coyle expiring June 30, 2013. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TNE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby <br />in all things approved. <br />Section 2. That the following appointment is hereby made to the Historic <br />Preservation Commission: Britin Bostick to serve the unexpired term of Matthew Coyle <br />until June 30, 2013. <br />Section 3.
