ORDINANCE NO. 2011-044 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF TFFIC CONTROL C <br />MAP ADOPT D IN SECTION 31 65, <br />AMENDING THE TRA <br />OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS; <br />ESTABLISHING A STOP SIGN ON SOUTH COLLEGIATE DRIVE AT LOOP <br />286 STOPPING SOUTH-BOUND TRAFFIC ON SOUTH COLLEGIATE DRIVE; <br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE <br />SUBJECT; PROVIDIN pEALTY CLAUSEA AND PROVIDING NYEFFECTIVE <br />SAVINGS CLAUSE, A <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris T~~affic control d vices onaCity st eetsrand oadways <br />evaluating proposals to add or remove <br />throughout the City of Paris; and, <br />WHEREAS, among those traffic control devices evaluated by the Traffic Commission <br />is the placement of stop signs at various intersections throughout the City; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Traffic Commis~i~he ant of a stop s gn at thee nte sect on1of <br />considered and evaluated a request fo placeme <br />South Collegiate Drive at Loop 286, to stop the south-bound traffic on South Collegiate <br />Drive and, having done so, found and determined that the placement of a stop sign at this <br />location in the City of Paris is necessary to protect the health and safety and is in the best <br />interests of the citizens of the City of Paris. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in <br />all things approved. <br />Section 2. That the Traffic ControlM C.o of ParisyT xasras amendedCbe, and the <br />Chapter 31, of the Code of Ordinances of thty <br />same is hereby further amended to include the following stop sign: <br />"Stop Sign - South Collegiate Drive at Loop 286 stopping south-bound traffic <br />on South Collegiate Drive." <br />Section 3. That all provisions of the ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas in conflict <br />with the provision of this ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other provisions of the <br />ordinances of the City of Paris not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall <br />remain in full force and effect. <br />
