MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETIN G <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY. SEPTEMBER 14, 2011 <br />12:00 0'CLOCK P.M. <br />The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Paul Denney, Vice <br />Chairman at 12:00 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Paul Denney, Vice-Chairman <br />Douglas Cox <br />Ben Vaughan <br />Nancy Anderson <br />David Stewart <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />C. Also present were Jeanna Scott, Historic Preservation Officer; and Cheri Bedford, <br />Main Street Manager. <br />2. Approve previous meeting minutes. (Septenaber 14, 2011) <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Nancy Anderson to approve the <br />meeting minutes for September 14, 2011. Motion carried 5-0. <br />4. Consideration of and action on the_following Cef-tificate of'Appropriateness: <br />B. Downtown Plaza - Bike Racks - Cheri Bedford, Main Street Manager presented <br />the petition. Ms. Bedford stated they have designed three bike racks that are <br />similar to the design of the fence around the Gibraltar. The bike racks are 72 <br />inches wide and 44 inches tall, and are black powder coated. Ms. Bedford further <br />stated that they are going to need approval from TXDOT and the City Engineer <br />regarding placement of the racks on the Plaza. The proposed locations are Vital <br />Beet, the Plaza Theater and Subway. Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, <br />seconded by Douglas Cox to approve the COA. Motion carried 5-0. <br />A. 128 Clarksville Street - Alex Pickering, Scott's Custom Signs presented the <br />petition. Ms. Pickering stated that the Alba Hair Care is only installing one <br />window graphic at this time. They will consider adding additional signage at a <br />later time. Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by David Stewart. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />5. Future agenda items. There were none. <br />` _ . 17 <br />
