RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve a Resolution authorizing the execution of an Executive Search Agreement with Strategic Government Resources, Inc. to conduct a search for a new City Mana er. POLICY ISSUE(S): Administration At the Council's direction, the staff has located a reputable search firm to conduct an abbreviated City Manager search. Summaries of the two proposals received are shown below. The fixed professional fee far SGR's services is $12,000 plus expenses not to exceed $4,500. Any travel expenses incurred by candidates is not covered under this agreement. The fixed professional fee for the Mercer Group is $15,000 plus expenses not to exceed $4,500. Any travel expenses incurred by candidates is not covered under this agreement. The staff recommends entering into an agreement with SGR, Inc. The last search firm, the Pace Group, was paid a total of $37,811.33 for their services over a 4 month period.
