RESOLUTION NO. 2011-083 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />APPOINTING TWO MEMBERS TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERMS OF <br />MICHAEL CODY AND DUSTIN LINDSEY ON THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY <br />BOARD, IN ACCORDANCE WITH POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR <br />STANDING BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES; MAKING OTHER <br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on February 11, 2008 the City Council approved new Policies and <br />Procedures for Standing Boards, Commissions and Committees for the City of Paris; and, <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the policies and procedures these standing boards <br />and commissions will be composed of seven members and will serve three year terms; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Main Street Advisory Board has two vacancies due to the <br />resignations of Michael Cody and Dustin Lindsey, current members on the Main Street <br />Advisory Board; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City has received applications from Casey Ressler and Karie <br />Raulston attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that new appointments <br />should be made to the Main Street Advisory Board to fill the vacancies of Michael Cody <br />expiring June 30, 2014 and Dustin Lindsey expiring April 30, 2012. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby <br />in all things approved. <br />Section 2. That the following appointments are hereby made to the Main Street <br />Advisory Board: Casey Ressler to serve the unexpired term of Michael Cody expiring June <br />30, 2014 and Karie Raulston to serve the unexpired term of Dustin Lindsey expiring April <br />30, 2012. <br />Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of <br />passage. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24'h day of October, <br />
