Regular City Council Meeting <br />July 12„ 2004 <br />Page 11 <br />table. <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman Fisher, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Guest, to bring this item from the table. The motion carried 5 yes, 2 nays. <br />Mayor Fendley called for consideration of and action on a resolution approving <br />a professional service contract for updating the City if Paris Salary Survey by <br />the Waters Consulting Group, Inc. Councilman Guest said he felt like this was <br />a moot point. A motion was made by Councilwoman Wilkerson, seconded by <br />Mayor Pro Tem Guest, to deny passage of the resolution. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2004-119, a resolution approving and authorizing the filing of <br />an application and associated documentation seeking the designation for the <br />City of Paris as a Preserve America Community for calendar year 2004 and <br />authorizing the execution of all documents in support of said application, was <br />presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell and seconded by <br />Councilwoman Wilkerson. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2004-120, approving the grounds sublease between the Red <br />River Valley Fair Association and the American Legion Post # 199 of Deport, <br />was presented. City Attorney Schenk said both this resolution and the next are <br />those presented to the City annually by the Fair Association for use for <br />purposed of bingo. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by <br />Councilwoman Fisher, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2004-121, approving the grounds sublease between the Red <br />River Valley Fair Association and the Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department, <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by <br />Councilwoman Wilkerson, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
