The motion carried 5 yes, 2 nays. Mayor Fendley called for consideration of and action on a resolution approving a professional service contract for updating the City if Paris Salary Survey by the Waters Consulting Group, Inc. Councilman Guest said he felt like this was a moot point. A motion was made by Councilwoman Wilkerson, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Guest, to deny passage of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 2004-119, a resolution approving and authorizing the filing of an application and associated documentation seeking the designation for the City of Paris as a Preserve America Community for calendar year 2004 and authorizing the execution of all documents in support of said application, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell and seconded by Councilwoman Wilkerson. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 2004-120, approving the grounds sublease between the Red River Valley Fair Association and the American Legion Post # 199 of Deport, was presented. City Attorney Schenk said both this resolution and the next are those presented to the City annually by the Fair Association for use for purposed of bingo. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilwoman Fisher, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 2004-121, approving the grounds sublease between the Red River Valley Fair Association and the Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilwoman Wilkerson, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
