<br />RESOLUTION NO.
<br />
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
<br />APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO.1 TO CONTRACT FOR THE
<br />CONSTRUCTION OF DOWNTOWN STREETS CAPE PROJECT,
<br />FEDERAL PROJECT STP 2000 (615) TE, CSJ-0901-29-017,
<br />CONCURRENT WITH THE APPRO V AL OF THE TEXAS
<br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION; MAKING OTHER
<br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
<br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 8th day of
<br />December, 2003, in Resolution No. 2300-187, award the contract for the "Downtown Streetscape
<br />Project, Federal Project STP 2000 (615) TE," to Encino Landscape, Inc.; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Hayter Engineering, Inc., acting as project engineer, recommends the
<br />amendment of the contract for said project to adjust services associated with curbs, ramps, outdoor
<br />carpet, sidewalk resurfacing, drains, and other features, and providing for a net decrease of
<br />$4,956.22 in the contract price; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Change Order No.1 Summary, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should
<br />in all things be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute a Change Order form
<br />concurrent with the approval of the Texas Department of Transportation; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />Section I. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
<br />
<br />Section 2. That the Change Order No.1 Summary, to the Contract for tlYcDowntown
<br />Streetscape Project, Federal Project STP 2000 (615) TE," attached hereto as Exhibit A, to
<br />adjust services associated with curbs, ramps, outdoor carpet, sidewalk resurfacing, drains, and
<br />other features, and providing for a net decrease of $4,956.22 in the contract price, be, and the
<br />same is hereby, approved.
<br />
<br />Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on
<br />behalf of the City of Paris, a Change Order No.1, upon the terms and conditions and in
<br />conformance with the Summary shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, concurrent with the approval
<br />of the Texas Department of Transportation.
