Director of <br />& Development Engineering, Planning & 10. <br />RECOMMENDED MOTION: <br />Staff does not recommend approving the request from Bob & Martha Crockett for disannexation of <br />17.25 acres of land on CR 42350 (Smallwood Road). <br />POLICY ISSUE(S): <br />Disannexation <br />BACKGROUND: <br />We have received an application for disannexation from Bob & Martha Crockett on CR 42350 <br />(Smallwood Road) containing 17.25 acres of land. The application and aerial view of the area is <br />attached. A taxing information sheet is attached that shows the property owner, appraisal district <br />property number, appraised value, and taxes paid. <br />This properties north and east sides are the City of Paris' city limit lines. Smallwood Road is to the <br />north of the property. This section of Smallwood Road is not in the City limits. The property has no <br />improvements according to the Lamar County Appraisal Districts information. When property is <br />developed it is the developer's responsibility to extend utilities to the property. This property currently <br />has a power line and a Lamar County Water Supply District (LCWSD) water line that exist across the <br />northeast corner of the property. This property is in a dually certificated area which means either the <br />City of Paris or LCWSD could supply water to the property. The City of Paris has right of first refusal. <br />Sanitation, Police and Fire services are available as well as the County wide EMS service. <br />Tax Information: Current Appraised value $49,810.00, value with Ag credit $1,380.00 (amounts below <br />are based on the Ag value).
