Cab-over versus Commercial Chassis Apparatus <br />1. A Cab-over chassis is specifically designed and built for fire service <br />use, providing longer service-life. 2. A Cab-over chassis has a tighter turning radius and so is more <br />maneuverable and easy to handle. <br />3. A Cab-over chassis is designed with more window space and thus <br />provides increased visibility. <br />4. A Cab-over chassis provides more personnel room with larger <br />doors for access and more space for PPE (gear). <br />5. A Commercial chassis must be modified for.fire service use. <br />6. Generally, a Cab-over chassis offers a longer warranty. <br />7. The chassis of most Cab-overs are built with all aluminum <br />construction, which provides increased corrosion resistance. <br />8.
