RESOLUTION NO. 2011-085 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING CHANGE ORDER N0. TWO AND AUTHORIZING FINAL <br />PAYMENT TO R. K. HALL CONSTRUCTION, FOR THE SOUTH COLLEGIATE <br />DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION - SOUTH LOOP 286 TO BIG SANDY CREEK <br />PROJECT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO <br />THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on June 28, 2010, the City Council of the City of Paris passed Resolution <br />No. 2010-071, awarding the contract for the South Collegiate Drive Reconstruction Project, <br />to R.K. Hall Construction, LTD of Paris, Texas; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Shawn Napier, acting as project engineer, <br />recommends the approval of change order No. 2, amending the original contract for a net <br />increase of $923.84 in the contract price, for a revised contract price of $1,474,897.54, the <br />contract time will be increased by 90 calendar days, the revised date for completion of all <br />work will be October 25, 2011; and, <br />WHEREAS, Change Order No. Two attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and the final <br />payment should in all things, be approved, and the City Manager should be authorized to <br />execute the necessary documents. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby <br />in all things approved. <br />Section Z. That Change Order No. Two to the Contract between R.K. HALL <br />Construction and the City of Paris for the South Collegiate Drive Reconstruction - South <br />Loop 286 to Big Sandy Creek Project, attached hereto as Exhibit A, providing for a net <br />increase of $923.84 in the contract price, for an amended total contract price of <br />$1,474,897.54, and a 90-day increase in contract time be, and the same is hereby approved. <br />Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to <br />execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, any necessary documents, upon the terms and <br />conditions in Exhibit "A", attached hereto. <br />Section 4.
