MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />LOVE CIVIC CENTER <br />2025 S. COLLEGIATE STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, JULY 26, 2004 <br />4:00 0'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was called to order by Vice <br />Chairman Barbara Wilson at 4:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Jerry Raper <br />Alternate: Brian Wear <br />Becki Norment <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Ann Rodgers <br />Paul Denney <br />C. Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer. <br />2. Discussion of and possible action on approving the following Certificates of <br />Appropriateness: <br />A. 2 West Plaza - Kathleen Williams. Motion to approve the Certificate of <br />Appropriateness was made by Sue Lancaster, seconded by Brian Wear. <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br />B. 322 S. Church Street - Holy Cross Episcopal Church, by Suzy Harper. <br />Motion to approve the Certificate of Appropriateness was made by <br />Claudia Hunt, seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 6-0. <br />3. Public hearing to receive citizen comments regarding declaring the following <br />properties as historic landmarks, recommending such designations to the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission, and adopting the Rehabilitation Standards <br />of the U. S. Secretary of Interior: <br />A. 744 3rd Street N.W. (Bill and Rita Buford). Rita Buford stated this <br />house was placed on the National Register in 1986 or 1987. Motion to <br />recommend designation was made by Sue Lancaster, seconded by <br />
