Council Liaison <br />1. Matt Coyle called the meeting to order at 4:08 <br />2. Approval of August 2011 minutes, could not approve the minutes, didn't have a copy, will approve next <br />month <br />3. Main Street Manager Report <br />• Festival of Pumpkins 65 vendors- at the limit for jewelry and purses, and almost at limit for non <br />profits: will not refuse anyone, but would like to see the festival offer unique items of interest. <br />• PCT will have their Haunted House <br />• Clint is rocking and rolling with the Zombie walk, <br />• Contests Freeze off, and Pumpkin carving by Main Street <br />• City sponsored contests: pumpkin decorating and costume contest- Sally Wright is working on <br />these for festival. <br />• LCHA- sponsors Pet Walk, Going well. <br />• Paris Garden Study Club, under the direction of Ashlea Mattoon is sponsoring the Kids Zone: <br />Ramping up the zone and offering direction in the decorations, signage, labyrinth, and balloon <br />towers, has volunteers and is doing a fabulous job. <br />• Barry Diamond is going to Emcee the kids games. <br />• Posters for the festival given out at the meeting with the Sponsors listed: Gold ($1500) HWH and <br />PRMC, Silver($1000) VCC and Chamber, Walmart- 8 bronze sponsors ($500) <br />• Bill Harris asked if there was a place where Santa's paws dog dash could be advertised- Cheri <br />explained that the Main Street Booth in the center of the South East corner of street would have <br />a space for all city related items. <br />Grand Theater <br />• Abatement has begun- going from the inside out, and has been promised to have the street <br />cleared by the festival of pumpkins. <br />Peristyle <br />Stone mason finished, sidewalks poured, terrazzo flooring in bags ready to be poured, and when Cheri <br />spoke with Tim Felts from Spann Construction, he said that would take 8-10 days, so the Peristyle should <br />be ready very soon. Main Street would like to offer dedication service, recognizing the hard work of all <br />parties who were a part of the Peristyle Restoration Vision. (Possible early next year) <br />. . 19 <br />
