A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, DESIGNATING A NAME FOR THE ENTRANCE ROAD TO COX FIELD AIRPORT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELA TED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, that roadway extending from FM 1508 in an easterly direction to the terminal at Cox Field Airport within the city limits of the City of Paris, Texas, currently has no official name; and, WHEREAS, in order to enable the US. Postal Service to make deliveries of mail at the aforesaid airport, and to enable police, fire, and other emergency services to identify through the emergency E-911 system locations at the Cox Field Airport, it is necessary to formally identify by an official name the aforesaid roadway; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has determined an appropriate name for said roadway; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That from and after the effective date of this resolution, that roadway extending from FM 1508 in an easterly direction terminating in a circular turnaround for the terminal at Cox Field Airport, the same being the entrance roadway to Cox Field Airport, shall be and is hereby designated as Road. Section 3. That from and after the date of this resolution, all official maps, plats, or other renderings whereon such roadway is depicted, at such time as such maps are amended, revised, or prepared, shall indicate such roadway bearing the aforesaid name.
