<br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />COX FIELD AIRPORT TERMINAL <br />MEETING ROOM <br />THURSDAY, JUNE 17, 2004 <br />5:30 O’CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Airport Advisory Board Meeting was called to order by Chairman Victor <br />Abeles at 5:30 P.M. <br />A.The following members were present: <br />Victor Abeles, Chairman <br />Vic Ressler, Vice-Chairman <br />Don Morrell <br />J.B. Richey <br />James Proctor <br />Glenn Chapman <br />B.The following members were absent: <br />Andrew Fasken <br />C.Also present were Lisa Wright, Airport Director; Jim Collier, Airport <br />Manager; and Jimmy Smyers. <br />2. Motion to approve the minutes <br />Approval of minutes from previous meetings. <br />of the May 20, 2004, meeting was made by J. B. Richey, seconded by Glenn <br />Chapman. Motion carried 6-0. <br />3. <br />Discussion of and possible action on making recommendations to the City <br />Council regarding possible amendments to the Code of Ordinances of the <br />City of Paris, Paris, Texas, relating to insurance requirements for mechanics. <br />Jimmy Smyers reported to the Board that he would have trouble competing <br />with other people on the Airport grounds if they were allowed to work without <br />the same requirements he was required to follow under his lease with the City. <br />Motion that the City look at the contract with Mr. Smyers with regard to the <br />insurance requirements was made by Vic Ressler, seconded by Glenn <br />Chapman. Motion carried 6-0. <br />4. <br />Discussion of and possible action on the Limited Airport Operating <br /> Chairman Abeles reported that he had spoken with Eric Clifford <br />Certificate. <br />about this, and Mr. Clifford said was on the Board the last two times the FAA <br />asked for this and the City turned them down. Motion to keep the Certificate <br /> <br />
