MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEE TIN G OF THE BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION Monday, September 20, 2004 4:00 P.M. 1. Chad Brown called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to order at 4:00P.M. Roll was called. A. The following members were present: Chad Brown Mary Crumpler Greg Wilson Harrell Tippitt Ryan Lassiter Brad Archer B. The following members were absent: Tommy Robinson Mark Rothfuss Ward Hall Pike Burkhart Lucius Joe, Jr. 2. Approval of Minutes of previous meeting: A motion was made by Mary Crumpler to approve the meeting minutes, and Chad Brown seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously 3. Public hearing to consider presentations by Code Inspector of the City of Paris, and owner(s) and I or lien holders of the below listed properties which have been given notice of a violation of City Ordinance that structures need to be demolished because of fire damage: A. 1275 6th Street NE, Lot 2, Block 2, Hull Addition There were no comments from the audience concerning this property. Chad Brown made a motion that the building be demolished within 30 days with a $1000 per day civil penalty and, if the building is not demolished within the 30 day time period, the City will demolish the building. Ryan Lassiter seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. B. 931 6th St. SW, south part of Lot 6, Block 4, Locust Hill Addition There were no comments from the audience concerning this property. Greg Wilson made a motion that the building be demolished within 30 days with a $1000 per day civil penalty and, if the building is not demolished within the 30 day time period, the City will demolish the 09- 20-04 Building Standards Meeting Minutes Page 1 of 6
