<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEE TIN G <br />OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />Monday, September 20, 2004 <br />4:00 P.M. <br /> <br />1. Chad Brown called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to <br />order at 4:00P.M. <br /> <br />Roll was called. <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />Chad Brown Mary Crumpler <br />Greg Wilson Harrell Tippitt <br />Ryan Lassiter Brad Archer <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />The following members were absent: <br />Tommy Robinson Mark Rothfuss <br />Ward Hall Pike Burkhart <br />Lucius Joe, Jr. <br /> <br />2. Approval of Minutes of previous meeting: <br />A motion was made by Mary Crumpler to approve the meeting minutes, <br />and Chad Brown seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously <br /> <br />3. Public hearing to consider presentations by Code Inspector of the City of <br />Paris, and owner(s) and I or lien holders of the below listed properties which <br />have been given notice of a violation of City Ordinance that structures need <br />to be demolished because of fire damage: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />1275 6th Street NE, Lot 2, Block 2, Hull Addition <br />There were no comments from the audience concerning this property. <br /> <br />Chad Brown made a motion that the building be demolished within 30 <br />days with a $1000 per day civil penalty and, if the building is not <br />demolished within the 30 day time period, the City will demolish the <br />building. Ryan Lassiter seconded the motion. The motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />931 6th St. SW, south part of Lot 6, Block 4, Locust Hill Addition <br />There were no comments from the audience concerning this property. <br /> <br />Greg Wilson made a motion that the building be demolished within 30 <br />days with a $1000 per day civil penalty and, if the building is not <br />demolished within the 30 day time period, the City will demolish the <br /> <br />09- 20-04 Building Standards Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Page 1 of 6 <br />
