Special Meeting of the City <br />Council <br /> August 23, 2004 <br /> Page 11 <br />Chief Grooms said he would research the cost of using, equipping and training <br />volunteers. Councilman Wilson said volunteers could greatly reduce the <br />amount of overtime in the department, which would mean more money could <br />be used for benefits. <br />th <br />Mayor Fendley reminded the Council of the meeting on Tuesday, August 24 <br />at 5 p.m. with the Architects for the new Police Facility, followed by budget <br />hearings. He said there was also a budget meeting scheduled for Thursday, <br />th <br />August 26.
