Thence South 6408’23” East a distance of 65.83 feet to the point of beginning and containing 5.187 acres of land; and, WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the current city limits of the city of Paris, Texas, and is not more than one-half (1/2) mile in width; and, WHEREAS, said petition fully conformed with the requirements of Section 6 of the Charter of the City of Paris and Section 43.028 of the Local Government Code; and, WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council on the 11th day of October, 2004; and, WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments for and against the same, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2004-191 granting such petition to annex said territory into the city NOW, THEREFORE, of Paris, Texas; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the following described property, to-wit: Being all that certain tract of land situated in Lamar County, Texas, a part of the Wesley Askins Survey, Abstract No. 7, a part of the 100.00 acre tract of land conveyed to D.
