<br /> REGULAR MEETING OF THE PARIS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />CORPORATION <br />November 17, 2004 <br />The Paris Economic Development Corporation met in regular session <br />th <br />Wednesday, November 17, 2004 in the Community Room of the Lamar <br />County Chamber of Commerce, 1125 Bonham Street, Paris, Texas. <br />Director Richard Severson called the meeting to order with the following <br />Directors present: Sims Norment and Rodney Bass. Also present were <br />Executive Director Gary Vest, Assistant Director Chad Manning, Mayor <br />Curtis Fendley, Interim City Manager Larry Shaw, City Director of <br />Finance Gene Anderson and City Attorney Larry W. Schenk. <br />Director Severson called for approval of the minutes of the October 20, <br />2004 meeting. Director Sims made a motion for approval, which was <br />seconded by Director Severson. The motion passed unanimously. <br />City Finance Director Anderson came forward and gave the Financial <br />Report for October 2004. <br />Director Vest came forward to give his report. He mentioned several <br />projects they had been working on. He said the Hearne Street Project and <br />the Industrial Park were almost done. He said they were generally pleased <br />with everything at the Industrial Park, but that some of the concrete had <br />failed the tests and they were waiting for the final test results. He said they <br />were not pleased with the amount of time it took to complete the project. <br />He discussed the proposed brochure for the Industrial Park. <br />He said everything was ready for C-Tech to begin in the Industrial Park <br />and had been ready for the past three months. He said the PEDC was not <br />holding them up. <br />Director Severson called for a closed session at 4:20 p.m., in accordance <br />with Sec. 551.072 and Sec. 551.087 of the Open Meetings act, to discuss <br />the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property which if conducted <br />in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the <br /> <br />
