MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING PARIS-LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH The Paris-Lamar County Board of Health held its regular meeting Thursday, November 18, 2004, at Paris-Lamar County Health Department. Board members in attendance include Dr. Caroline Wilson, Dr. Bert Strom, Dr. Wally Kraft & Mr. Larry Reaves. Others in attendance included Mr. Anthony Bethel and Mrs. Carla Rhodes. The meeting was called to order at 6: 15 PM. The minutes of the previous meeting was approved with motion made by Dr. Strom and second by Dr. Wilson. Mr. Bethel informed the Board that he has ordered a defibrillator (AED), the same kind as EMS uses. Dr. Kraft informed the Board that LaDonna Koehn FNP has resigned, effective January 1, 2005. Also that an advertisement needs to be in the Nurse Practitioner Association. Dr. Strom states that an advertisement needs to be put into the Nurses Journal. Dr. Kraft states that Mrs. Plummer needs to be asked if she would be interested in the Nurse Practitioner position. Also for Anthony to call Dr. Plummer to see if he has anyone in mind for the position. Mr. Bethel states he will post the opening through the City and Nursing Schools. Dr. Kraft states the Board needs to do something to recognize LaDonna, honor her with a dinner and a plaque. Dr. Kraft states Board needs to continue to check on Police Station for Health Department. Health Department ~hould have funds to remodel Police Station. Dr. Strom states Board needs to contract Paris Regional Endowment Fund for Grant and Texas A&M grant for Diabetic Medical screening. Dr. Strom asked Boards permission to contact Texas A&M about grant. Board members agreed for Dr. Strom to contact Texas A&M about grant. Dr. Kraft wants Board to contact City Council about remodeling Police Station.
