<br />Ver 1.10 <br />08/03 <br /> <br />5. Emergency Services Responsibilities <br /> <br />a. The Incident Commander will: <br /> <br />1) Manage emergency response resources and operations at the incident <br />site command post to resolve the emergency situation. <br /> <br />2) Determine and implement required protective actions for response <br />personnel and the public at an incident site. <br /> <br />b. Warning. <br /> <br />Paris Police Department <br /> <br />1) Primary responsibility for this function is assigned to the Paris Police <br />Department who will prepare and maintain Annex A (Warning) to this plan <br />and supporting SOP'S. <br /> <br />2) Emergency tasks to be performed include: <br /> <br />a) Receive information on emergency situations. <br />b) Alert key local officials of emergency situations. <br />c) Disseminate warning information and instructions to the public through <br />available warning systems. <br />d) Disseminate warning and instructions to special facilities such as <br />schools and hospitals. <br /> <br />c. COMMUNICATIONS. <br /> <br />Paris Police Department <br /> <br />1) Primary responsibility for this function is assigned to the Services <br />Lieutenant of the Paris Police Department, who will prepare and maintain <br />Annex B (Communications) to this plan and supporting SOP'S. <br /> <br />2) Emergency tasks to be performed include: <br /> <br />a) Identify the communications systems available with the local area and <br />determine the connectivity of those systems. <br />b) Develop plans and procedures for coordinated use of the various <br />communications systems available in this jurisdiction during <br />emergencies. <br />c) Determine and implement means of augmenting communications <br />during emergencies, including support by volunteer organizations. <br /> <br />25 <br />
