AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 31-65 OF SAID CODE TO PROVIDE STOP SIGNS ON DICKSON STREET AT 10TH STREETN.W. IN AN EAST-AND WEST-BOUND DIRECTION, ON 3RD STREET S.W. AT HEARNE STREET IN A NORTH- AND SOUTH- BOUND DIRECTION, AND AT HEARNE STREET AT 4TH STREET S.W. IN A WEST-BOUND DIRECTION; PROVIDING FORA PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF FEBRUARY 1,2005. WHEREAS, the City of Paris Traffic Commission is charged with the responsibility to study and evaluate traffic control devices for use on City streets and roadways; and, WHEREAS, among those traffic control devices evaluated by the Traffic Commission is the placement of stop signs at various intersections throughout the City; and, WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission, at its regular meeting of December 14,2004, considered and evaluated various suggestions and requests for the placement of stop signs at various locations throughout the City, and, having done so, found and determined that the placement of certain stop signs at certain locations of and intersections in the City is necessary to protect the health and safety and is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Paris, and have so recommended such signs to the City Council of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things approved, Section 2. That the Traffic Control Map adopted in Paragraph (b) of Section 31-65 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended to include the following stop signs:
