<br />MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY HALL WEST ANNEX <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />150 1ST STREET S.E. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2004 <br />12:00 0'CLOCK P.M. <br />1.The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 12:00 A.M. <br />A.The following members were present: <br />Barbara Wilson, Vice-Chairman <br />Ann Rodgers, Secretary <br />Jerry Raper <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Paul Denney <br />Alternate:Becki Norment <br />B.The following members were absent: <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Alternate:Brian Wear <br />C.Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer. <br />2. <br />Consideration of and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br />A.. Motion to <br />308 S. Main Street - YWCA of Paris and Lamar County <br />approve the COA with the condition that the chain link be removed as <br />opposed to covered by the wooden fence was made by Barbara Wilson, <br />seconded by Jerry Raper. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Commissioner Denney arrived. <br />B.. The YWCA <br />308 S. Main Street - YWCA of Paris and Lamar County <br />reported that they were allotted $2,000.00 to replace the sign by <br />December 31. Barbara Wilson advised the YWCA that their design did <br />not conform to standards for the district. Motion to table the item until <br />the YWCA could revise the materials and the design was made by Jerry <br />Raper, seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 6-0. <br />Becki Norment arrived. <br /> <br />
