<br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Chainnan and Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council <br /> <br />Lisa Wright, Director of Co=unity Development Y <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Zoning Change Requests to be Presented at the January 3, 2005, Meeting of the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission, and the January 10, 2005, Meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Paris <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />January 3, 2005 <br /> <br />The following zoning change requests will be presented at the January 3,2005, meeting of <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission for its consideration: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Brad Drake is requesting that the property located on Lot 27-A, City Block 251, being <br />number 205 Loop 286 N. W., be rezoned from a Commercial District (C) to a Light Industrial <br />District (LI) for the purpose of constructing a commercial warehouse. The Comprehensive <br />Plan recommends that property along the Loop located east of the railroad tracks, which is <br />where this property is located, be zoned for retail/commercial use; however, it further <br />recommends that the area immediately south of this property, which appears to include a <br />portion of this property itself, and on the west side of the railroad tracks be zoned light <br />industrial. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Mitzi Rader is requesting that the property which is Part of the Wesley Askins Survey and <br />Mathias Click Survey, being located south of FM 195 and west of 36th Street N.E., be <br />rezoned from an Agriculture District (A) to a One-Family Dwelling District No.2 (SF-2) for <br />the purpose of establishing a housing development. The Comprehensive Plan recommends <br />that this area be zoned residential; therefore, this request is consistent with the Plan. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Lee Woodard is requesting that the property located on Lot 35-B, City Block 249, being <br />number 3025 Clarksville Street, be rezoned from a Neighborhood Service District (NS) to <br />a Commercial District (C) for the purpose of constructing a quick lube establishment. The <br />Comprehensive Plan recommends that this area be zoned retail/commercial; therefore, this <br />request is consistent with the Plan. <br /> <br />/lw <br /> <br />cc: <br /> <br />City Attorney <br />
