Ms. Ellis stated her reasons were that the City needed to <br />maintain experience levels on City Council by continuing with staggered term elections; that <br />citizens were accustomed to May elections; that City Council elections would not be co-mingled <br />with federal/statelcounty eleetions; that the City would continue to hold joint eleetions with <br />school districts annually in May; that the City would be required to hold a special election to <br />amend the Charter and that was prohibited by State Law until May 2013; and that the County <br />Elections Administrator assured her that he would be able to continue to provide the required <br />voting machines mandated by the Federal Government. <br />19. Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 2004-081. <br />There were none. <br />20. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, a Motion to adjourn was made by Council Member <br />Pickle and was seconded by Council Member Grossnickle. Motion carried, 7 ayes - 0 nays.
