<br />DRAFT <br /> <br />Attachment 1 <br /> <br />Administrative Guidelines <br /> <br />Several benefits authorized in the City of Paris Personnel Polices are provided employees as "days," <br />i.e., vacation days, holidays, sick leave days. Such benefits are provided in relation to the City's <br />"normal work day." Due to different job demands and staffing procedures, City departments observe <br />different work/on duty shifts. It is therefore, necessary to adjust "day" benefits to the various work/on <br />duty shifts in a manner that is uniform and equitable. <br /> <br />A benefit day is equivalent of 20% of a normal workweek and .385% of a normal work year (2080 <br />hours). A benefit "day" will be considered the equivalent of 50% of a normal work/on duty shift for <br />employees whose workweek is fifty-six (56) hours. This is the equivalent of21.4% of the workweek <br />and .412% of a work year (2912 hours). <br /> <br />64 <br /> <br />Rev. 10/27/04 <br />
