MEMORANDUM

TO:

Chairman and Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission
Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council

FROM:

Lisa Wright, Director of Community Development

SUBJECT:

Zoning Change Requests to be Presented at the February 7, 2005, Meeting of the
Planning and Zoning Commission, and the February 14, 2005, Meeting of the City
Council of the City of Paris

DATE:

January 31,2005

The following zoning change requests will be presented at the February 7,2005, meeting of
the Planning and Zoning Commission for its consideration:

1.

Brad Drake is requesting that the property located on Lot 27-A, City Block 251, being
number 205 Loop 286 N. W., be rezoned from a Commercial District (C) to a Light Industrial
District (LI) for the purpose of constructing a commercial warehouse. The Comprehensive
Plan recommends that property along the Loop located east of the railroad tracks, which is
where this property is located, be zoned for retail/commercial use; however, it further
recommends that the area immediately south of this property, which appears to include a
portion of this property itself, and on the west side of the railroad tracks be zoned light
industrial.

/lw
cc:

City Attorney
