LAWERENCE OAKS, EXECUTNE DIRECTOR The State Agency for Historic Preservation LETTER OF AGREEMENT The city of Paris has the opportunity to participate in the Texas Main Street Program at the sustaining level. This Letter of Agreement represents your commitment to continue as an official Main Street City at the sustaining level for 2005. The following is a list of services your community will receive as a Main Street City at the sustaining level: . Securing a Main Street Manager . Should a replacement manager be needed, resumes of screened, qualified applicants will be provided to the city manager by request. . Program Manager Training Specialists in the areas of organization, design, promotion and economic restructuring will provide training to local Main Street managers. The Texas Historical Commission (THC) shall provide five training opportunities. As :an official Main Street City at the sustaining level you agree to send your Main Street manager to at least two of these training sessions each year: Basic Training and Continuing Education and Development or Continuing Education and Development (January/February); Texas Historical Commission Annual Conference in the spring; Texas Downtown Association Mid-year Conference in the spring; Main Street Summer Workshop; and Texas Downtown Association / Main Street Annual Conference (fall). Another training opportunity is National Main Streets Conference in the spring. If a replacement manager who has not attended Main Street training is hired in a Main Street City at the sustaining level, the Main Street manager will be required to attend the Texas Main Street Basic Training and Continuing Education and Development in January and February. A stipend for this training will be charged to the sustaining city. . Main Street Program Network The Monthly Update, the Main Street communiqué is sent each month to all Texas Main Street Cities. In addition, the Main Street manager is subscribed to the Main Street list serve, an email network available only to official Texas Main Street Cities. . Reporting As a Main Street City at the sustaining level, the Main Street manager for the city of Paris will submit monthly reports by the 10th of the following month. Quarterly reinvestment figures will be submitted for the months of June, April, July and October. A Ten Criteria survey submitted to the Texas Main Street Center will also be required by August 12, 2005. Letters of Agreement will not be renewed without receipt of the Ten Criteria survey.
