Regular Meeting of the City Council <br /> January 24, 2005 <br /> Page 5 <br />Councilman Bell had pictures of areas in Morningside, where there are <br />drainage problems. Several other problem areas in the City were discussed. <br />Mayor Fendley asked City Engineer Shawn Napier if he had a master plan for <br />dealing with drainage problems in the City. Mr. Napier said the top priority was <br />for people who were getting water in their house. <br />City Manager Williams suggested that he get with Mr. Napier to get his <br />recommendations as to the worst drainage problems and then, they could <br />come up with a plan of dealing with and financing those. <br />Councilman Guest asked to see the minutes of the Drainage Sub-Committee <br />meetings held several years ago. Councilman Bell asked for a record of how <br />the money allotted for the drainage problems was spent. <br />5. There were no future agenda items mentioned. <br />City Attorney Schenk noted that there were some Eagle Scouts present in the <br />audience for their Citizenship Award. Councilman Bell said he and Mr. Schenk <br />have the privilege of working with the Eagle Scouts and one of the <br />requirements for the Eagle Badge is to attend a public meeting. <br />Council recognized Will Henderson of Troop2, who was working on his Eagle <br />and First Classman, and Micah Halbert of Troop 2, who was working on his <br />Attendance.
