Motion carried unanimously. <br />4. <br />Discussion of and possible action on approving the following Certificates of <br />Appropriateness contingent upon approval of revisions to the Historic <br />Preservation Ordinance by the City Council at its May 10, 2004, regular <br />meeting: <br />Motion to recuse Claudia <br />A.Linda and Bill Payne - 105 E. Sherman Street. <br />Hunt was made by Paul Denney, seconded by Sue Lancaster Motion <br />carried unanimously. Chairman Starrett advised the Commission that <br />the City Council would be considering an amendment to the ordinance <br />removing the hardship requirement for properties located in a <br />proposed district. If the ordinance passes, it would not go in effect <br />until June 1, 2004. Mr. Payne was asked to present his proposal at this <br />meeting but was advised that final approval would have to come after <br />the amendment went into effect. Mr. Payne presented drawings to the <br />Commission and explained the proposed construction plans. Motion <br />to bring Claudia Hunt back was made by Sue Lancaster, seconded by <br />Barbara Wilson. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Lynn Bertelsen <br />B.Glenn and Lynn Bertelson - 509 S. Main Street. <br />presented an application to the Commission showing proposed color <br />changes to their home. No action taken. <br />Linda Ridder of <br />C.Paris Living, donee of Bill Payne - 1021 Church Street. <br />Paris Living presented an application to the Commission showing <br />proposed color changes. She advised that Paris Living was prepared <br />at this time to begin working on the exterior. No action taken. <br />5. <br />Discussion of and possible action regarding the following structures <br />considered by code inspectors to be in violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of <br />the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled <br />“Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures,” to determine <br />whether such buildings or structures can be rehabilitated and designated on <br />the National Register of Historic Places, as a recorded Texas Historic <br />Landmark, or as historic property as designated by the City Council of the <br />City of Paris: <br /> Motion to forward to <br />A.808 N. Main Street, Lots 1 and 1A, City Block 74. <br />the Building and Standards Commission was made by Sue Lancaster, <br />seconded by Paul Denney. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />
