Regular City Council Meeting <br /> February 14, 2005 <br /> Page 11 <br />staff regarding employee and dependent insurance coverage for employees who are <br />called to active duty. <br />Tony Williams informed the City Council that the City has three individuals that have <br />been called up for active duty. He recommended that during the period of active duty <br />the City continue to pay their employee portion of the group health insurance, which <br />is $400.00 per month. <br />Councilman Wilson - motion to approve. Councilman Poston - second. Motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />14.Mayor Fendley called for discussion and consideration of and possible action <br />regarding annual evaluation of the City Manager, City Attorney, and Municipal Court <br />Judge. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-057: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING A NEW SYSTEM OF <br />PERFORMANCE EVALUATION AND ASSOCIATED EVALUATION <br />INSTRUMENTS FOR USE IN EVALUATING THE PERFORMANCE OF THE <br />CITY MANAGER, CITY ATTORNEY, AND MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE; <br />ESTABLISHING A POLICY OF PERIODIC PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS <br />FOR THE CITY MANAGER, CITY ATTORNEY, AND MUNICIPAL COURT <br />JUDGE; REPEALING ALL PRIOR RESOLUTIONS AND EVALUATION <br />INSTRUMENTS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Fendley said it would be inappropriate to do an evaluation on Tony since he <br />has only been here three months. Don Wilson has a problem with the evaluation, in <br />that it is too vague. Mayor Fendley stated the form was changed last year and <br />Councilman Bell said that the form still isn’t specific enough. Mayor Fendley <br />suggested that Tony and Human Resources look at bringing this back in an <br />amendment type form. Further Mayor Fendley suggested that the Council make notes <br />on the current form as to what changes they would like in it and look at it their next <br />meeting. <br />15. There were no future agenda items. <br />16.There were no referrals. <br />17.Mayor Fendley called for a break at 7:40 p.m before reconvening in Executive <br /> <br />
