Regular City Council Meeting <br /> February 14, 2005 <br /> Page 2 <br />resignation was acknowledged. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-018: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, NOMINATING A CANDIDATE FOR <br />MEMBERSHIP ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE LAMAR COUNTY <br />APPRAISAL DISTRICT TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF BOBBY <br />WALTERS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE <br />SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Larry Schenk pointed out there is a process that must be followed beyond this. The <br />Appraisal District actually takes all nominees and the Board makes the selection from <br />the nominees presented. We have received the letter requesting nominees. <br />Motion to nominate Jay Guest made by Councilwoman Wilkerson - Councilman Bell- <br />second. Motion carried - 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />6.Receipt of report from Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />A.Public Hearing to consider the petition of Brad Drake for a change in zoning <br />from a Commercial District (C) to Light Industrial District (LI) on Lot 27-A, <br />City Block 251, being number 205 Loop 286 N.W. <br />Mayor Fendley advised this item was tabled last month and would require a motion to <br />bring it from the table. It was denied by Planning and Zoning because the individual <br />did not show up. <br />Councilman Wilson - motion to bring it from the table. Councilman Poston - second. <br />Motion carried 7 ayes - 0 nays. <br />Mayor Fendley opened the public hearing and asked for anyone speaking either for or <br />against the request to do so. <br />With no one speaking, Mayor Fendley closed the public hearing. <br />B.AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES <br />ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING <br />A LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) ON LOT 27-A, CITY BLOCK 251, <br />ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO BRAD DRAKE, SO AS TO CONCLUDE <br /> <br />
