<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />Monday, February 21, 2005 <br />4:00 P.M. <br /> <br />1. Chad Brown called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to <br />order at 4:40 P.M. <br /> <br />Roll was called. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Chad Brown Mary Crumpler <br />Greg Wilson Brad Archer <br /> <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Mark Rothfuss Lucius Joe, Jr. <br />Ward Hall Pike Burkhart <br />Harrell Tippitt Ryan Lassiter <br /> <br />2. Approval of Minutes of previous meeting: <br />A motion was made by Brad Archer to approve the meeting minutes, and <br />Mary Crumpler seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously <br /> <br />3. Presentation by the property owner of a plan for making repairs to the <br />following property: <br /> <br />th <br />A. 715 5 Street N.W., Lot 16, City Block 88 <br />The property owner was not present at the meeting. <br /> <br />4. Public Hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors <br />and owner(s) and/or lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been <br />given notice of a violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled Substandard and <br />A <br />Dangerous Buildings and Structures: <br />@ <br /> <br />A. 945 W. Garrett Street, Lot 3, City Block 101 <br />Brad Archer made a motion to bring this item to the table. Greg Wilson <br />seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />There were no comments from the audience concerning this property. <br /> <br />Brad Archer made a motion that the building be demolished within 30 <br />days with a $1000 per day civil penalty and, if the building is not <br />demolished within the 30 day time period, the City will demolish the <br /> <br />02-21-05 Building Standards Meeting Minutes Page 1 of 8 <br /> <br />
