<br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Chairman and Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Lisa Wright, Director of Community Development <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Zoning Change Requests to be Presented at the March 7, 2005, Meeting of the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission, and the March 14, 2005, Meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Paris <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />February 28, 2005 <br /> <br />The following zoning change requests will be presented at the March 7,2005, meeting of the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission for its consideration: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Mitzi Rader is requesting that the property which is Part of the Wesley Askins Survey and <br />Mathias Click Survey, being located south of FM 195 and west of 36th Street N.E., be <br />rezoned from an Agriculture District (A) to a One-Family Dwelling District No.2 (SF-2) for <br />the purpose of establishing a housing development. The Comprehensive Plan recommends <br />that this area be zoned residential; therefore, this request is consistent with the Plan. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />James and Tennie Wooten are requesting that the property located on Lots 16 and 17, Block <br />4 of the Mayer Addition, being located at 235 32nd Street N.W., be rezoned from a One- <br />Family Dwelling District No.2 (SF-2) to a Neighborhood Service District (NS) With <br />Specific Use Permit (28) Mortuary or Funeral Parlor. The Comprehensive Plan recommends <br />that this area be zoned residential; therefore, a request to zone these lot Neighborhood <br />Service is consistent with the Plan. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Cody Woodard is requesting that a one (1) acre tract of land, which is a part of the John <br />Skidmore Survey, Abstract No. 889, being located on F.M. 1508, be rezoned from an <br />Agricultural District (A) to a General Retail District (GR). The Comprehensive Plan <br />recommends that this area be zoned Light Industrial (LI). <br /> <br />/lw <br />cc: <br /> <br />City Attorney <br />
