MEMORANDUM TO: Chairman and Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council FROM: Lisa Wright, Director of Community Development SUBJECT: Zoning Change Requests to be Presented at the March 7, 2005, Meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the March 14, 2005, Meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris DATE: February 28, 2005 The following zoning change requests will be presented at the March 7,2005, meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission for its consideration: 1. Mitzi Rader is requesting that the property which is Part of the Wesley Askins Survey and Mathias Click Survey, being located south of FM 195 and west of 36th Street N.E., be rezoned from an Agriculture District (A) to a One-Family Dwelling District No.2 (SF-2) for the purpose of establishing a housing development. The Comprehensive Plan recommends that this area be zoned residential; therefore, this request is consistent with the Plan. 2. James and Tennie Wooten are requesting that the property located on Lots 16 and 17, Block 4 of the Mayer Addition, being located at 235 32nd Street N.W., be rezoned from a One- Family Dwelling District No.2 (SF-2) to a Neighborhood Service District (NS) With Specific Use Permit (28) Mortuary or Funeral Parlor. The Comprehensive Plan recommends that this area be zoned residential; therefore, a request to zone these lot Neighborhood Service is consistent with the Plan. 3. Cody Woodard is requesting that a one (1) acre tract of land, which is a part of the John Skidmore Survey, Abstract No. 889, being located on F.M. 1508, be rezoned from an Agricultural District (A) to a General Retail District (GR). The Comprehensive Plan recommends that this area be zoned Light Industrial (LI). /lw cc: City Attorney
