Regular City Council Meeting <br /> March 14, 2005 <br /> Page 2 <br />Mayor Fendley opened the public hearing and asked for anyone speaking in favor of <br />this item to do so. <br />No one spoke in support of this ordinance. <br />Mayor Fendley asked for anyone speaking against this item to do so. <br />Shannon Pasternak, 3610 Brownwood Drive, Paris, Texas, stated she was concerned <br />about the traffic control in that area. Councilman Wilson suggested that she be <br />notified by Planning and Zoning of the hearings in which the plat is reviewed, which <br />shows how the traffic flows. <br />With no one else speaking, Mayor Fendley closed the public hearing. <br />Motion to approve by Councilman Bell. Councilman Wilson - second. Motion <br />carried - 7 ayes, 0 nays <br />C-D.AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED <br />BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A NEIGHBORHOOD <br />SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (28) MORTUARY <br />AND FUNERAL PARLOR ON LOTS 16 AND 17, BLOCK 4 OF THE MAYER <br />ADDITION, REQUESTED BY JAMES AND TENNIE WOOTEN, AGENTS FOR <br />KENNETH RHODES AND ROBERT W. BRAINARD, OWNERS, SO AS TO <br />INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE- <br />FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2); DESIGNATING THE <br />BOUNDARIES OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) WITH <br />SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (28) MORTUARY AND FUNERAL PARLOR SO <br />ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Councilman Bell asked to be recused due to ownership of property in the area. <br />Motion to approve made by Councilwoman Fisher.
