<br />Section 2. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. <br />1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a GENERAL <br />RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 313, <br />REQUESTED BY DANIEL G. ELCAN, AGENT FOR R. WAYNE LOWE, OWNER, so as to <br />include in such GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) the hereinafter described property, which was <br />formerly and is presently designated as an AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A), and that the <br />boundaries of said GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) be, and the same are hereby, established <br />as follows: <br /> <br />SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, <br />and State of Texas, being part of the Joseph Leach Survey, being Lot 1, City Block <br />313, and a part of the same property conveyed by Ada A. Stallings et al to C. W. <br />Turner on July 28, 1922, recorded in Vol. 195, Page 530 of the Lamar County Deed <br />Records" being more particularly described as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a stake in the South Boundary Line ofU. S. Highway 82, <br />(Lamar Avenue), at its intersection with the West boundary Line of the above <br />mentioned tract of land; <br />THENCE S 89°56'31 "E along the South Boundary Line of said Highway a <br />distance of 218.02 feet to an iron pin for corner; <br />THENCE S 00° 22' 23"E a distance of 600.09 feet to an iron pin set for <br /> <br />corner; <br />THENCE N89°51'00"E a distance of218.75 feet to an iron pin for corner; <br />THENCE North 00042'04"W a distance of 600.89 feet to the place of <br />beginning and containing 3 acres of land, more or less and being numbered 3850 <br />Lamar Avenue. <br /> <br />Section 3. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby, directed <br />to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. <br />1 71 0 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of this <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 4. That any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty <br />of a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and each <br />and every day's continuance of any violation of the above-enumerated sections shall constitute and <br />be deemed a separate offense. <br /> <br />Section 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby <br />expressly repealed. <br /> <br />Section 6. That this ordinance shall become effective June 1, 2005. <br />
