Deliberate and act on a Resolution accepting the bid of Paris Iron & Metal to purchase <br /> from the City scrap meters, brass, copper and miscellaneous scrap metal. <br /> <br /> 28. Deliberate and act on a Resolution approving a hangar lease assignment from Bill Boothe <br /> to Magnum Performance, Inc. <br /> 29. Deliberate and provide direction to City Staff on the possible expansion of the remaining <br /> portion of a two lane road on S. Collegiate Drive between Clarksville Street and Jefferson <br /> Road and a second entry into the Police and Court Building from S. Collegiate Drive. <br /> <br /> 30. First reading, deliberate and possibly act on an Ordinance adding Article VI, Hire Paris <br /> First, to Chapter 2, Administration, of the City of Paris, Texas Code of Ordinances, <br /> relating to Local Contracting Preferences; containing findings and other provisions <br /> relating to the foregoing subject; providing a repealer clause, a severability clause, a <br /> savings clause; and declaring an effective date. <br /> 31. Deliberate on funding for the Clarksville Street Sidewalk Project; and provide direction <br /> to City Staff. <br /> 32. Deliberate on re-evaluation of placing the 4B Sales Tax Option on the May 12, 2012 City <br /> Ballot; and provide direction to City Staff. <br /> <br /> 33. First reading, deliberate and possibly act on an Ordinance declaring support for funding a <br /> portion of the right-of-way acquisition costs and utility relocation costs for upgrading and <br /> widening State Highway 24 from the City of Cooper, Texas to the Delta-Hunt County <br /> line in an amount of $1,450,000.00. <br /> 34. Deliberate and possibly act on a Resolution approving an Interlocal Cooperative <br /> Agreement between the Sulphur River Regional Mobility Authority (SURRMA), Delta <br /> County, Texas, Lamar County, Texas, City of Paris, Texas, City of Cooper, Texas and <br /> the Paris Economic Development Corporation related to the funding a portion of the cost <br /> of widening a 10.4 mile segment of Texas Highway 24 and approving a State <br /> Infrastructure Bank loan between the Texas Department of Transportation and <br /> SURRMA. <br /> <br /> 35. Convene into Executive Session: <br /> • Pursuant to Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code, Consultation with <br /> Attorney, to receive legal advice from the City attorney about pending or <br /> contemplated litigation and/or on matters in which the duty of an attorney to his <br /> client under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar <br /> of Texas clearly conflicts with this chapter, to-wit: <br /> ➢ SURRMA Project; <br /> <br /> ➢ Cecelia Kane vs. Paris Lamar County Health Board and Anthony Bethel, <br /> Directors of Paris Lamar County Health Department; in the 62nd Judicial <br /> District Court; Cause No. 81106. <br />
